New London Light Review
New London Light is one of the more distinctive spirit-style ranges in the category because it is not just trying to make “a gin alternative.” The range currently revolves around three bottles: First Light, which leans into juniper, citrus, ginger, habanero, orange, and sage; Midnight Sun, which goes toward Nordic berry and pine; and Aegean Sky, which builds itself around bitter citrus and olive. That is a much stronger identity than brands that release one generic botanical bottle and call it a day.
It also helps that the flavors sound genuinely different. First Light reads like the bottle for classic gin drinkers who still want juniper and some warmth. Aegean Sky is clearly aimed at spritz and aperitif drinkers, with blood orange, mandarin, kumquat, bergamot, rosemary, and olive. Midnight Sun, from the brand’s own broader range description, is the berry-and-pine bottle. You can feel the line between them before you even mix a drink.
