Peroni 0.0 Review
A direct look at Peroni 0.0, its dry Italian-lager style, and where it fits best.
Where to shop
Start with a broad search if you want to check availability or compare it with other premium NA lagers.
Peroni 0.0 is one of the easier non-alcoholic lagers to understand because the brewery tells you exactly what it is trying to preserve. Birra Peroni frames it as the alcohol-free version of Peroni Nastro Azzurro, built from the same signature recipe, including Nostrano dell’Isola maize and fine aromatic hops, with the alcohol removed after the flavor profile is fully developed.
What it tastes like
The official page calls it straw yellow with a dry taste, a dry body, and hop bitterness, and that is the right frame. This is not a plush craft lager and it is not trying to fake a hazy beer. It is meant to be crisp, clean-edged, and easy with food.
That dry body is the whole point. Peroni 0.0 makes more sense if you want a cold lager that stays brisk and a little bitter rather than one that leans sweet or malty.
Where it works best
Pizza is an easy yes. So are aperitivo snacks, cold cuts, simple sandwiches, crudités, and salty food in general. Peroni’s own pairings lean in exactly that direction, and it fits the beer well.
This is also the kind of NA lager that works when you want the visual and social ease of a familiar bottle. You can bring it to a table, crack it cold, and not overthink it.
Where it can feel limited
Drinkers who want more hop aroma or more craft detail may find it too straightforward. That is not really a flaw so much as a style limit. Peroni 0.0 is aiming for premium-lager simplicity, not for niche-beer texture or IPA interest.
So the bottle wins most clearly when the mood is clean, cold, uncomplicated lager rather than 'show me something interesting.'
Bottom line
Peroni 0.0 is a good buy if what you want is a dry, food-friendly, familiar lager that still feels right with pizza, snacks, and an easy aperitivo hour. It is not trying to be more than that, and that restraint is part of why it works.
